The changing face of the city has been a recurring theme in recently produced short films. Filmmakers and animators capture the sheer beauty of the community as well as the memories, struggles and core values before those city stories fade into history. Clash of the Indies The 20th ifva Awards is calling for entry now!

The ifva competition welcomes short films, videos, animation and media artworks. The competition is divided into several categories, including Open, Youth, Animation, Media Art and Asian New Force. Now, Hong Kong independent filmmakers and animators are being offered a big step forward. “HONG KONG SHORT FILM: NEW ACTION EXPRESS” (NAE) is a scheme launched by the Hong Kong Arts Centre aiming to promote excellent Hong Kong short films and videos locally and abroad. By sponsoring local talents to attend international film festivals and first-class cultural events, they will be introduced to global audiences and to engage in rewarding exchanges.
