Jury Panel & Prizes

ifva hopes that more local and Asian artists will be able to join the ifva platform. As in previous year, Media Art Category now accepts entries for media arts from Asian countries.
This year’s jurors for the Media Art Category include: Bryan Chung, Ip Yuk-yiu, Eve Tam and more. The Gold Award winner will be presented with a HK$50,000 cash prize, a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and a trophy. One Festival Visit will be granted to the Best Local Work winner of this category. Roundtrip flight tickets will be partially subsidised and hotel accommodation will be provided for those finalists in Asia Division to set up the exhibition in Hong Kong.

Looking for quality short films, animations and media art works

As a platform and an incubator for film and visual media, ifva hopes to see more creative power from Hong Kong and Asia. The ifva Awards is now open call for submissions and nominations. Academic staff, festival promoters, curators, industry people and all general member of public are invited to recommend short films, animations and media art works to us.

The upcoming screening featuring the 1st ifva Awards Grand Prize winner, A Tragedy Ahead by Cheng Chi-hung, and the 20th ifva Open Category Gold Award winner, 32 and 4 by Chan Hau-chun.

Calling for Participants - “All About Us”
A Creative filmmaking project for ethnic minorities youths
|
Instructors for the project comprise film industry professionals and video artists. Through fun challenges during two exciting camps and weeks of filming activities, ethnic minorities youths will learn from doing and discover how to tell story through moving images. The “All About Us 2015/16”is calling for participants.
