【48-hour Film Challenge】
Last 7 days to apply!

Jockey Club ifva Everywhere 48-hour Film Challenge!
  • a challenge to maximise your creativity and potential
  • from concepts, script, shooting, makeup and costume, to editing, music and sound effects, all to be accomplished within two days and two nights!
  • if you dare, you are in to compete for the HK$100,000 cash award!
 Previous ifva Gold Award winning directors who will be leading the creative teams include: Adam Wong, director of The Way We Dance (2013) and She Remembers, He Forgets (2015), Welby Chung, famous TV commercial and music video animation director, and multimedia creative Lai Yan-chi Mo.

Still, you may form your own team to produce an original short film within 48 hours. The winning team will receive a cash award of HK$100,000!

【People's Cinema on 28 May】
No Natural Born Heroes
 
 People are obsessed with super hero films. They hope a hero will come to their rescue in times of despair and desperation. Yet heroes are essentially humans. They can be ordinary on occasions. This time, People’s Cinema will take place in Tai Ming Lane Square in Tai Po, breaking the boundary between imagination and reality and displaying heroes from all walks of life: a hardworking scaffold builder, a father who sacrifices unconditionally, an old female scavenger who strives for a living and a teenager who possesses super powers. Every one of them is likely to be someone we know in real life who deserves more respect and recognition.

Six short films are to be screened on that night: Pick Up & Put Down (2010), The Ripple (2010), Dap Pang Man (2013), I am not a superhero (2013), When the Sun Goes Down (2015) and Shear Marks (2015).

Tai Ming Lane Square in Tai Po as its base of operation for late May – a residential area crowded with shops and restaurants. How will this provide a different film experience? Let us know.

The event is completely free of charge. You are welcome to bring your own cushion.
