【Jockey Club ifva Everywhere】
ifva Carnival
  ———  Concluded successfully ———
The 2-day ifva Carnival is held between 24-25 Sep at the Event Space of Hong Kong Observation Wheel, Central, around 15,000 participants joined the carnival.


Film Tent & Open-air Screening
Film Tent featured ten indoor screening programmes and showcased 83 short films in total.
Under the ferris wheel and starry night, three open-air screenings featured The Posterist by Seewai Hui, A Sunny Day by independent filmmaker Ying Liang and eight works from
48-hour Film Challenge
.


 
Voted by both professional jury and the public
48-hour Film Challenge winning work
- Pink Lin

The team Lo Yea, formed by graduates of School of Creative Media in City University of Hong Kong received the most votes from jurors as well as audience and won the HK$100,000 prize with their work Pink Lin. The 8 films are adjudicated by professional filmmakers and producers, and also by the public audience. Jury members include Nansun Shi (veteran film producer), O Sing-pui (renowned film director and cinematographer) and Eric Poon (documentary filmmaker / Associate Professor of Practice at the School of Journalism and Communication, Chinese University of Hong Kong).



 
Cinematic Playground
Cinematic Playground invited ten local artist units to create new works for the carnival, art work becomes more inviting in this setting. Ten creative practitioners including Chu Lik-hang Henry, Cheung Hon-him Chris, Wong Yu-hin Sampson, Lam Chi-fai Jason, Lee Wing-shan Fiona, XCEED, Wong Chi-chuen Kenny, Wong Wai-kin Kenji, Choi Chi-chung Tomy, Tung Wing-hong and Yeung Lai-ho Lio.



 
Pop-up Market
Pop-up Market gathered different singer-songwriters in the town: New Youth Barber Shop, Shandy Gan, Chin Tung Tse & Chin Lui Tse, Kevin Tsui Ka-ho, Merry Lamb Lamb, The Black Sheepee, geez and Winter Bagels, and brought us diverse music styles; Illustrators like Flying Pig, Keo Chow, uniqoo, Sarene Chan, and stalls like Pop-up Poetry and A Secret to A Stranger provided a brand new experience about drawing and stories for the weekend.



 
Experience Zone
Workshops of Experience zone are suitable for all ages to have fun: Formed by a card and two rubber bands, "Wonder Turner" offers public a chance to finish an animation in easy way; "Hand-painted 16mm Film Workshop" invites audience to draw on 16mm film and screen the drawing result together afterwards; "Virtual Firework" allows participants to create his/her unique virtual firework and experience the fun of VR.
