The 22nd ifva Festival is coming


This year the festival will commence on 9 March (Thu) evening with media art exhibition CINEMA 2.0 – The Phantom Machine, together with Media Art category finalists exhibition. Works by finalists of other short films and animation will be screened during the festival, and winners will be announced on 18 March (Sat) at the Awards Presentation Ceremony.

“CINEMA 2.0: The Phantom Machine” attempts to possess certain cinematic qualities, resist the passage of time each in its own way like cinema by exhibiting four artworks from three overseas media art artists: Polymorf (Netherland), Phil Solomon (USA), Verena Friedrich (Germany).

Finalists’ works
of the 22nd ifva Awards Media Art Category from Caner Cihad (Turkey), Irene Agrivina (Indonesia), Junya Kataoka (Japan), Lisa Park (South Korea), Cheuk Wing-nam (Hong Kong), Lau Ching-wa (Hong Kong), Chu Yiu-wai (Hong Kong), Hui Wai-keung (Hong Kong) and Chan Ho-choi Carla (Hong Kong) would be showcased at the same time. The result of Media Art Category will be announced at the opening ceremony.
