WMA x ifva present:
Outdoor short film screening


 

Through the programme “Home and Mobility” at ifva festival, ifva intended to respond to the issue of immigration in Asia. In April, co-hosted with WMA, focusing on the local point of view, ifva selected three short films - Rest is Pending by Ng Ho-yin, Healthy.Not? by Judy Chu and Beautiful Life by Chan Ho-lun Fredie - that depict the expectations and desires of Hongkongers, the struggles of migrant workers and stories on growing up in underprivileged families.

Coffee meeting with Oscar winner - "Moonlight" producer Andrew Hevia
 

To encourage the local creative talents to continue their creative work, Andrew Hevia, the Cuban American film producer as well as the co-producer of Moonlight (Best Picture of Oscar in 2017), was invited to have a coffee meeting on 29 March (Wed). In that evening, Hevia had a thoughtful sharing on the small-budget film production and financing with local filmmakers and ifva awards finalists.
