This month we will bring you Rest Is Pending, the finalist work of the Open Category from the 20th ifva Awards.

Having an acceptable columbarium in an expensive city like Hong Kong is no easy task. After the sudden death of his father, Tin-fai embarks on a clueless journey to a new “home” - visiting cemeteries of various kinds and even those in distant land - which ends with an unexpected twist. From single columbarium to cemeteries, we see cultures, environments and interactions between demand and supply within community and between cities.

Each year, we invite ifva filmmakers and artists to visit schools, hoping to encourage a creative use of media among teenagers, and also discover and cultivate new generations of film / video makers in Hong Kong. The new season of Community Tour will commence in September. We are now calling for applications. The tour will be free of charge with limited quota. Act now!
